🍃 9:00 am to 2:00 pm: We’ll pick you up from your accommodation or designated meeting point and head to our destination.
🍃 We start the tour in the Larco Museum, a truly special place where you’ll discover over 5,000 years of Peruvian history through fascinating collections of ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and more.
🍃 In here, you can observe what our ancestors left behind, powerful evidence of how they lived their daily lives. The museum features an important collection of pre-Columbian artifacts, including an extraordinary set of ceramics related to fertility.
🍃 We’ll begin our visit in the first gallery, where you’ll receive an introduction to the arrival of humans in the Americas, as well as the first civilization of South America.
🍃 We’ll then move on to the next gallery to explore ceramics and textiles from various pre-Inca cultures. You’ll also see one of the best-preserved ceramic collections illustrating rituals such as human offerings and sacrifices practiced before the Inca period.
🍃 The tour continues with explanations of music, warfare, and death in the Andean worldview. We’ll conclude with a visit to the museum’s famous erotic pottery gallery.
🍃 12:15 pm: After the tour, we will return you to your hotel. If you prefer, we can drop you off at a restaurant or another location of your choice, as long as it is within Miraflores, San Isidro, or Barranco. If you need to be dropped off in another district (outside our official pick-up and drop-off zones), we can arrange it for a small additional fee.
