Discover the oldest civilization in America on a tour of the Caral archaeological site in Lima. Go back in time more than 500,000 years to learn about their religion, culture, and way of life.
🔸6:30 am: We will start by picking you up from your accommodation and then we will head to Caral.
🔸Join us to visit our oldest sacred city in Peru and South America, called Caral, which is considered the second oldest civilization in the world with more than 5000 years old.
🔸Seat of the first Andean civilization that forged the bases of its own unique social organization, which together with Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China and Mesoamerica are the original centers of culture in the world.
🔸It is made up of 32 monumental buildings, comprised in a complex system of settlements that show a strong religious ideology, among which there are ceremonial buildings, residential sectors for people of different social rank, a group of smaller temples and workshops for production.
🔸We will also observe the place where the offerings to the gods were made as well as their ceremonies, rituals, festivities and most importantly the quipus (accounting system).
🔸After the tour, we will return you to your hotel or, if you wish, we can drop you off at a restaurant or any other location of your preference (only if is located in Miraflores, San Isidro or Barranco). If you want to be drop off in a different district (outside our official pick up and drop off areas) we can organized with an small extra fee.
